Wireless Home Theater - Does Wireless Home Theater Suffer In Quality? When wireless home theater was first mooted, it may have been somewhat of a pipe dream however, technology has escalated to such an extent that wireless home theater is here sooner rather than later.
One of the big benefits of this technology is the absence of unsightly wires which not only looks better, but is a lot safer for everyone. The first benefit should really keep many of you guys in sweet with the better half! Wireless Home Theater True wireless home theater, that is, home theater where there are no wires to tamper with at all is probably still a little way off so the term while meaning exactly that, may not be quite right. It really means there are less wires to worry about and that's a big improvement on the previous systems. But is wireless home theater producing the same quality as it's cabled cousins? Well, at one stage no, but again, that word technology comes into play. In fact, within the next couple of years, the difference in quality may be negligent. Companies such as Sony and Panasonic are leading the way in wireless home theater technology. They and others will unveil some amazing technology in the future. Imagine owning state-of-the-art systems using using infrared technology running your home theater units. The speakers, TV, and receivers are all integrated with computerized light technology to operate on one basic remote control together as a unit. There will be units available that include a main display on the DVD player that is actually an LED display. This allows for better control of the home networking functions and better calibration between the DVD’s need for sound and the sound that you can actually provide with the speakers. Through this, the DVD player can also access the internet through an Ethernet connection and perform tasks using that connection that will, once again, change the way we look at home theater systems. You can even play video games through this connection on your home theater setup. Amazing! The Wireless Age The speakers are then placed using a technique which has the ability to know where the speaker is and communicate with it. The language between the two is obviously digital. The speakers are color-coded, in most cases, and can also be configured using the remote control. The control can also alter a specific speaker at the push of a button, so if you wanted more bass from your subwoofer it would take about three seconds to make that happen with this new system of wireless home theater. |
